Clock Engraving
Many types of clocks can be engraved. From little Table Top Clocks to Grandfather Clocks and a lot in between.
For glass or crystal clocks, an etching process is used. We make a mask and glue it the clock. We then do the etching process. Then we remove the mask and clean the clock.
Many wood clocks, we use lasers to cut into the wood. Most of the time, the laser turns the wood dark compared to the finished wood surface. A few woods, we do not get enough contrast. These we use a gold finish fill to get the engraving to stand out. Another option is to attach an engraving plate. Here we pick a metal that matches up with the clock. Example: the clock has a gold face, then we would use a gold brass engraving plate. After engraving the brass plate, we put a mild acid on the surface so the letters turn black on the gold surface. The resut, a beautiful engraved clock for presentation.

Glass Table Top Clock Engraving
Waterford Crystal Clocks to Glass Mattle Clocks engrave great. The process we use 
to engrave glass clocks is etching. It gives a frosted look to the engraving and is easier to read than regular engraving methods. Designs or corporate logos can easily be done. On the clock to the right, we would etch under the clock face as well as the Waterford Clock to the left.

Wood Table Top Clock Engraving
With most wood clocks we engrave a brass plate and attach it to the clock. We cut the brass to size with great results. Some wood Table Top Clocks have silver trim and we have engravable nickel silver engraving plates. The clock to the left, we would put a vertical plate and engrave it. If this clock had a piano finish, we would laser right into the wood and do a gold color fill.
Piano Finish Table Top Clock Engraving
These clocks have a high polish finish that allow us to laser into the wood. After lasering, we put a gold or silver fill into the letters depending on clock. The Piano Finish Table Clocks make a beautiful high end corporate gift or an extra special Anniversary Gift.

Grandfather Clock Engraving
What we engrave on the Grandfather Clock is the Pentium. It is usually large and
round. The most common thing we engrave is an interlocking monogram with his first initial, her first name initial and there last name initial in the center larger. This is the perfect Anniversary Gift.

If you are not in Southeastern Michigan, it is OK to ship your clock to us. Make sure you include: what you want engraved, your name, address, phone number and email address. We will contact you with a quote and suggestions for engraving. Once you approve the order we will ask you for a credit card.
